The Baule belong to the Akan peoples who inhabit Ghana and Côte d' Ivoire.Needless to say, you absolutely do not want that guy to be you! African wedding traditions go back for many centuries and even though some westernization has crept in to certain segments of African society, a lot of these traditional African weddings are still carried out today.Three hundred years ago the Baule people migrated westward from Ghana when the Asante rose to power.The tale of how they broke away from the Asante has been preserved in their oral traditions.
